| WELCOME TO PENNINE AUTOGRASS |

The Pennine Autograss circuit is the place for sideways, wheel-to-wheel action and fiercely competitive racing.
A competitive and closely fought race is usual in every class, from the ‘Junior’ category where youngsters between the ages of 12 & 16 race in standard Mini’s through another 10 classes of increasingly powerful cars up to the super-fast ‘Special’ single-seaters, fitted with bike engines, 2-litre engines, V8’s and twin-bike engines.

The rules of Autograss are simple - take a car, make it fit into one of the 'classes', add all the safety features, become a member of a recognized club and come race. Grass-track racing is a 'non contact' sport and although the odd kiss and occasional roll are part of the scene you aren't going to be buying a new car every week or two like the banger lads. This all goes towards making it affordable as well as immense fun.

If you are looking for a fun, inexpensive way to go motor-racing, there are no better sports!!!

Pennine Autograss club welcomes anybody interested in racing and offers a great way to start motor-racing at an affordable price. As well as running a 'Junior' championship, we also run Ladies-only races and championships, meaning that the whole family can race!
Although highly spectacular to watch, it is first and foremost a participant sport. Meetings are promoted by non-profit making clubs, which are affiliated to the governing body - the National Autograss Sports Association (NASA). The tracks are laid out on natural surfaces. Club members will construct the track the day before the event, and the racers are also expected to help out with the organization on the day.

Our racetrack has a viewing area that extends the full length of the finishing straight and is on a grassy bank high enough above the action for you to get a good view of the entire arena. Get there early enough and you can park up and look out of the car window, if you get there later there is spectator space in front of the car park area, just bring something to sit on, plenty of suncream and get ready for some fun. Races are run all afternoon and there is never normally more than 3 or 4 minutes between heats.
Although a non-contact sport, spills and thrills are to be expected....

.......So why not come and take a look!
